The Jaycees will host the Annual Holiday Parade along 4th Street and N Liberty Street in downtown Winston-Salem. The parade is expected to impact the local traffic patterns from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. To accommodate the parade route, Exit 5C, the Cherry Street ramp, along with I-40 Business/US-421 will be closed during these hours. In anticipation of congestion and the need for traffic management surrounding the event, local law enforcement will be managing major intersections in the vicinity of the event. Variable messaging systems along with the surrounding highways/roadways will be deployed to advise motorists with traffic information. Patrons should plan to arrive early, at least one hour prior to event start times if possible and carpooling is strongly encouraged.
