GA 223

State Route 223 (SR 223) is a 28.9-mile-long (46.5 km) west-east state highway in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its western terminus is in Cedar Rock, and its eastern terminus is in the Grovetown/Fort Gordon area, near Fort Gordon's Gate 2.

SR 223 begins at an intersection with SR 80, in Cedar Rock. This is just west of the Warren-McDuffie county line. SR 223 is known as Norwood Road at its western terminus, but, very quickly, it changes to Cedar Rock Road. It crosses, but doesn't intersect, Interstate 20 (I-20), and roughly parallels it between there and an intersection with U.S. Route 221/SR 47 (US 221/SR 47), approximately 3.9 miles (6.3 km) north of Harlem. In Thomson, it is known as Hickory Hill Drive, then Tom Watson Way. It intersects SR 150 in town. It turns right onto US 78/SR 10/SR 17 (US 78/SR 10/SR 17) (Main Street), and follows the three until it turns left onto White Oak Street. At the intersection with Holt Street, it becomes known as White Oak Road. At the intersection with Hinton Wilson Road, SR 223 becomes known as Wrightsboro Road, which, at its eastern end, is a major thoroughfare in Augusta.

In, Grovetown, it intersects SR 388. SR 388 assumes the Wrightsboro Road name at this intersection. SR 223 assumes the name West Robinson Avenue. SR 223 has its eastern terminus just southeast of Grovetown and just northwest of Fort Gordon's Gate 2. This is at an intersection with U.S. Route 78/U.S. Route 278/SR 10 (US 78/US 278/SR 10). Just like SR 383, SR 223 serves as an important access route for Fort Gordon.
