LA 47

Louisiana State Route 47 (LA 47) was one of the 98 original state highways that were established in 1924. It ran in a south to north direction for 42.90 miles (69.04 km), from Mangham through an intersection with LA 15, through Rayville, to an intersection with LA 14 south of Bastrop.

Beginning at Bastrop, through Collinston, Oak Ridge, Rayville to Mangham. - 1924 Louisiana Legislative Route Description

LA 47 began just south of an intersection with LA 15 at Mangham and continued in a northern direction. As it entered Rayville, it met and followed US 80/LA 4 in a western direction, splitting from US 80/LA 4 at Bee Bayou. LA 47 turned north and continued toward Oak Ridge, turning west again towards Monroe.

LA 47 then turned north towards Collinston, running through the town, then ending at an intersection with LA 14 south of Bastrop.
